China’s ongoing process of legal reform is badly needed, CPPCC Member Liu Hongyu, a renowned lawyer with more than 30 years' experience, said this on Saturday when answering questions from reporters at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. She added that lawyers’ rights need to be protected in order for their clients’ rights to, in turn, be protected.
