At least five people were killed and 20 others injured after a huge explosion rocked a diplomatic zone in Afghan capital Kabul on Tuesday, the country's interior ministry has confirmed.
Local media reported that a suicide bomber detonated explosives inside Kabul's Green Zone, close to Australian embassy. Many of the victims were government employees, according to the statement.
Earlier, local Tolo news said at least 13 people were killed in the incident but the death toll was later revised down.
ISIL claimed responsibility for the explosion, the extremist group's Amaq news agency said.
