Folk arts boost cultural tourism in Yan'an, NW China - CGTN

Ansai District, located in northern Shaanxi Province on the Loess Plateau, is widely known for its unique folk arts like the Ansai waist drum dance, paper-cutting, folk songs, folk painting and opera.

In recent years, Ansai has made efforts to boost cultural tourism by integrating it with these unique folk arts so as to help eradicate poverty. After some training, people can supplement their income by giving performances for tourists.
