Some 9.75 million students in China have registered for this year's national college entrance exam, also known as “Gaokao," the highest number in eight years. This year’s Gaokao takes place on Thursday and Friday. Authorities across the country have taken various measures to create a noise-free environment for the students taking the life-changing test. Steps have also been made to eliminate cheating.
