Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao Football Club from Chinese Football Association Super League (CFL) is ready to make an offer of about 35.32 million US dollars for 31-year-old Marek Hamsik of Seria A's Napoli, according to local news agency napolipiu.

Sources reportedly said that Guangzhou is about to negotiate with Napoli to bring Hamsik to China. Guangzhou's head coach Fabio Cannavaro has been favoring Hamsik for a long time. The club plans to offer a yearly salary of around 21.19 million US dollars for the Slovak football player.

Napoli remained silent about the offer while the club's chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis showed no objection. The team hopes that Hamsik can make his own decision and has already told him everything about the negotiation, according to napolipiu.

Though Hamsik has been playing for Napoli for over a decade, Guangzhou has made a tempting offer and thus is positive about the deal. Moreover, as Napoli failed to take this year's Seria A title, many believe that Hamsik is considering departure. Despite that he is 31 years old, Hamsik is still one of the best midfield players in the league as well as the No.1 star of Slovak. If Guangzhou can get him with 35 million US dollars, it would be a good deal.

Having been knocked out from both AFC Champions League and Chinese Football Association Cup, Guangzhou is in desperate need for powerful help to fight for the CFL title. Having played 10 games, the club only won five and ranked fifth on the table. Both the team and head coach Cannavaro are sitting on thorns.
