US audio tech giant Dolby Laboratories said Thursday it has applied for the first time its most sophisticated audio-visual cinema-class technology to a China-made laptop, which will deliver an immersive 3D cinema-like effect for users.
San Francisco-based Dolby said Yoga Book C930 laptop produced by Chinese tech giant Lenovo, the world's second-largest PC maker, which was launched Thursday at a leading international trade show for consumer products in Berlin, Germany, features Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos Speaker System on the world's first two-screen device.
Dolby said the Lenovo flagship Yoga C930 combines cinema-inspired HDR imaging technology with speakers, custom-designed by Dolby, that deliver breakthrough moving audio effects for consumers to experience a disruptive way of entertainment on the go.

The Yoga C930 laptop has a defining characteristic of an advanced rotating sound bar and innovative hinge design that is unique to optimize the audio experience while the consumers enjoy an immersive Dolby Atmos Speaker System experience.
The Dolby Atmos technology allows sound to move around customers in three-dimensional space, so that they can feel like staying inside the action.
"Dolby pushes the boundaries of innovation, bringing new ways to enhance consumer experiences," said Giles Baker, senior vice president of Consumer Entertainment Group at Dolby Laboratories.
The Yoga C930 runs Windows 10 with the built-in Dolby-powered sound bar designed to boost the entertainment experience.
The device's Dolby Vision-driven technology transforms users' viewing experience with ultra-vivid picture quality.
"When compared to a standard picture, Dolby Vision can deliver colors never seen before on a screen, incredible contrast, highlights that are up to 40 times brighter, and blacks that are 10 times darker," Dolby said.
