With the release of the first picture of black hole, more and more people start to appreciate astronomical wonders.
This year, thanks to the picture of the black hole, inquiries about observatories, astronomical museums, and natural vast lands have gone up 60 percent year-on-year in China as reported by travel agencies.
Many cities in China have astronomy museums, while the first-ever in China's history is located in Beijing, the Beijing Planetarium. Top destinations also include Zijinshan Observatory in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, and the 500-meter Aperture Spherical Telescope in Pingtang, Guizhou Province. Another popular spot is the grasslands in Hulunbuir and the Kubuqi Desert, both located in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, which are perfect for capturing scenes of meteors.
