At least 10 people were killed in Mallorca, on Spain’s Balearic Islands, by flash floods on Tuesday night. More than 230 millimeters (9 inches) of rain fell on the island in just two hours, which has been called an event that happens "once every thousand years" by Spain's national weather service.
