They used over 100 ingredients, ranging from fresh fruit and vegetables to meat, nuts and sweets. Local food specialties including hot peppers and yam pasta were included to represent Chongqing’s food culture. /Chinanews Photo

The creative process was extremely challenging and to ensure food stayed fresh, the artists had to work in low temperatures and stay overnight to finish each piece, Chongqing Evening News reports. /Chinanews Photo
