Eleven people were killed in a factory fire in Shangqiu City, central China's Henan Province, reported the Ministry of Emergency Management.
The factory fire broke out at 11:11 a.m. local time on Monday, and was brought under control at around 2:15 p.m.
The ministry has dispatched a working group to the site for the rescue operation and investigation work.
A preliminary investigation shows that carelessness of three factory staff members has resulted in the accident.
