The U.S. House of Representatives, where Democrats now hold a majority, has approved two measures that would end a two-week partial government shutdown. Under the bills, the departments of State, Commerce, Agriculture, Labor, Treasury, and other agencies would be funded through Sept. 30, the end of the current fiscal year. However, an impasse remains as the bills provide no money for President Donald Trump's border wall.
