Chinese President Xi Jinping's special envoy and Vice Premier Sun Chunlan will attend the 2018 FIFA World Cup opening ceremony in Russia, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying said on Tuesday.

Sun will travel to Russia from June 12 to 15 at the invitation of the Government of Russian Federation.
