Beijing beat Tianjin to win Chinese Women’s Volleyball Super League title

Beijing beat Tianjin in the third game of the best of five final to win the 2019 Chinese Women's Volleyball Super League title on Saturday. After winning their first two games of the final, the capital side crushed Tianjin 3-1 on Saturday's game to take the series-winning 3-0 lead and bagged their first-ever title in the tournament's history. 
The weekend game saw Beijing hosting Tianjin in their own backyard and were favorites to win the title in front of a partisan home crowd. The home side came out firing on cylinders and dominated the game from the word go. Liu Xiaotong's heavy spike helped the Capital team win the first set 25-21. Carrying forward the momentum and cheered by their home fans, the hosts hardly broke a sweat to win the second set 25-15 thanks to a Zhang Yu's spike at the set point.

Tianjin, however, worked hard to fight back and Li Yingying's powerful attack helped the visitors reduce the lead by winning the third set 25-20. 
With the score standing at 2-1 in Beijing's favor, Jin Ye came into the picture and thanks to her superb spike, Beijing went up 22-16 in the fourth set. 
Much to the delight of the home fans, Beijing eventually pocketed the fourth set 25- 20 to notch up a magnificent 3-1 overall victory in the game. 
Rachel Rourke, the MVP of the Game, amassed 26 points while Liu Xiaotong made a match haul of 19 points. 
For Tianjin, Li Yingying registered a team-high of 24 points.
