China cracks down on apps illegally harvesting personal information

According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), China will crack down sharply on apps that illegally harvest personal data. The MIIT will investigate into companies such as Shenzhen ZK-Link technologies and Shanghai Zhizi Information Technology and Egos Science, which have illicitly collected personal information and given marketing robo-calls.
