Food delivery companies will keep at least 20 percent of their “riders” during the week of the Chinese New Year. On the eve of the new year, delivery services are only available until midnight. The average bonus a  deliveryman will receive that week is 2,000 yuan (295 U.S. dollars). On top of that, a bonus of 100 yuan (14.76 dollars) per person per day is not unusual in this business.
