China has recently issued a blueprint on the development of education, aiming at realizing the modernization of education by 2035, and building a stronger nation in terms of education and talents.
The plan, titled “Chinese modernization of education 2035,” puts forward an eight-principle concept, highlighting morality, comprehensive development, fairness, life-long studies, individualization, practice, integrative development, as well as cooperation and sharing in education.
According to the plan, the country should have a stronger capacity and greater international influence in education by 2020, while the period of schooling for the working-age population should have an apparent increase.

As of 2035, the modernization of education should be fulfilled, and China would grow into a stronger nation through education.
The blueprint has also put forward strategic tasks, based on the current problems and weak links existing in the field, to accelerate educational reform in the age of information.
