October 17 marks Chongyang Festival, a traditional celebration in China, which is also known as the Double Ninth Festival because it falls on the 9th day of the ninth month on lunar Chinese calendar. In 1989, the festival was designated as Seniors' Day – a day to respect the elderly and celebrate their contributions. As part of CGTN's ongoing exploration of the life of China's senior population, we interviewed a 74-year-old long-distance runner. Here's his story running marathons.
