Top DPRK leader inspects northern Samjiyon County

Top leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) Kim Jong Un has paid a visit to Samjiyon County in the northern part of the country, offering his guidance on construction in the area, the official Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) said on Thursday.
Kim visited an area with several construction projects underway in the township of Samjiyon County and praised the workers for the progress made despite the cold weather, the KCNA said.

He underlined the need to set monthly targets for each project in order to advance construction as planned.
Kim visited the Samjiyon Blueberry Drink Factory and Samjiyon County Junior Middle School, both under construction, the report said, without giving the exact date of his visit.

Kim also offered field guidance to the Samjiyon Potato Farina Production Factory during the tour.
"The party has paid much effort to building the factory, so it is important to properly run it" to the benefit of those in the county and across the nation, Kim was quoted as saying.
