China's Shenhai Yongshi (Deep Sea Warrior in English) -- the manned submersible has completed 100 dives since it was put into operation a year ago. The longest dive lasted 11 hours and 45 minutes. Researchers are now working with a deep-sea engineering geology in-situ testing equipment device for a 10-meter-long probe into the seabed. In 2019, the probe will measure sidewall friction, shear resistance and other parameters during dives.
