Severe flooding kills 23 in Malawi

Twenty-three people have been confirmed dead in southern Malawi over severe flooding as a result of heavy rains accompanied by strong winds, Xinhua reports citing local authorities.

The dead are from 13 southern Malawi districts, and the figures are based on preliminary reports, said local authorities.
