For a waterfront city like Shenzhen, it's no surprise that the chance to see aquatic life is a big draw for visitors.
The aquatic life park Shenzhen Xiaomeisha Sea World immerses the visitor in a thoroughly aquatic world, allowing guests to experience many different aspects of the mighty deep. This homage to the sea first opened its doors in 1998, and since then, it's earned the nickname "Hawaii of the Orient" and has attracted millions of visitors from all over the world who can't ignore the call of the ocean.

Xiaomeisha offers the chance to see all kinds of ocean life, from sharks and polar bears to sea lions and sea turtles. The Fish Aquarium is made up of 20 tanks that house 6,000 rare fish representing 500 different species. The aquarium also serves as the stage for underwater mermaid performances, diving shows, and even underwater wedding ceremonies.
The viewing tunnel constructed from glass panels will make you feel like you're under the sea, getting up close and personal with your favorite underwater animals.

Visitors flock to the Polar Museum to see polar bears, arctic foxes, and walruses in enclosures that imitate their natural habitat and recreate the correct temperature and humidity that will help these animals thrive.
Ocean lovers can learn about the history and future of the deep blue sea at the Magic Tour Aquarium, which takes visitors on a 15-minute indoor train ride past scenes from classic stories like Robinson Crusoe and The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish.
In the Shark Museum, eight kinds of sharks roam, from nurse and lemon to bull and leopard sharks. Lucky visitors might even be able to catch an underwater performance featuring a trainer diving into the tank to swim with the sharks.
