The 24th Shanghai TV Festival will kick off on Monday in Shanghai.
As one of the most important international television exchange platforms in the media industry in Asia, this year’s Shanghai TV Festival will include the Magnolia Awards for International TV Programs Selection, Magnolia Showcase, Internet Television Summit and Magnolia Awards Ceremony among others.

The Magnolia Awards for International TV Programs Selection of Shanghai TV Festival is the earliest TV awards event in China. It is renowned for its professionalism, authority and fairness.
This year, the panel has received over 800 works from China and aboard, covering four categories including TV dramas, documentaries, animations and TV shows.
After the initial selection by 100 judges, nominations for each category are announced according to the official guidebook of the committee.

There are thirteen judges including: Chinese screenwriter Liu Heping, British documentary producer and director Nick Fraser, and British animation producer Kay Benbow who head the panels for TV dramas, documentaries and animations respectively.
They will review short-listed works during the TV festival with other 10 industry-renowned judges worldwide.
The Internet Summit
The “Internet Summit” will be held during this year’s Shanghai TV Festival. According to the official guidebook, the event consists of activities such as the Internet Dialogue, the Original Literature Summit, and the Internet Ceremony.
The summit will display excellent works on the Internet, which are the reflection of the latest trends in the industry.
