Programs made for audiences under the age of 18 should not contain too much about fame, wealth and romance relationships, said a regulation released by the National Radio and Television Administration Wednesday.
In recent years, some radio and television programs' content contains wealth flaunt, child star hype or even vulgar jokes.
"The phenomenon invades the privacy and other legitimate rights and interests of minors," said the spokesperson of the administration. "Some programs have excessive entertainment and commercialization tendency, cause concern from society."
The regulations mandated a guarantee of safety plus sufficient time for study and rest for underage people involved in the programs.
"Costumes and content of the performances should also suit the age of actors and time the roles live," said the spokesperson.
The regulation also requires minors under the age of 10 shall not be used as advertising spokespersons.
The regulation will take effect from April 30, 2019.
