Kenya on Thursday celebrated the first anniversary of the Standard Gauge Railway (SGR) built with the help of China.  The Chinese-funded railway has spurred economic growth in the East African country. It has also eased road traffic congestion and provided a fast and reliable means of transport between the capital, Nairobi, and the port city of Mombasa.
