The 15th China International Film and Television Programs Exhibition kicked off today at the Beijing Exhibition Center. As the key part of the annual big event in the whole media industry, the Film and TV Import & Export Association (FTIEA) Summit Forum has attracted many members and representatives of key state cultural export enterprises.
Vice Minister of the Information Office of the State Council Guo Weimin extended his congratulations to those film and television institutions that will be awarded the honor of the state's key cultural export enterprises and also delivered a speech.
"Culture is the soul of a nation. It is an important bridge and link for communication between Chinese and foreign countries. Cultural exchange is a very effective way to shape a nation's image,” Guo said.
Guo notes that Chinese culture “going global” strategy has been carried out steadily and these achievements are impossible without the efforts of outstanding Chinese films and TV works overseas.

Ma Li, director general of the International Cooperation Department of State Administration of Radio and Television, said: “In the new era, the society of China provides the unprecedented content and extension of the story to tell the story of China. We should further strengthen our cultural self-confidence to fully demonstrate this long history, full of Oriental charm of China.”
With supports from the Information Office of the State Council and the State Administration of Radio Television, the FTIEA formed by 43 state-owned film and television institutions in the country was founded in November 2017, marking a new era in the integration of resources into the international dissemination of Chinese film and television.
The China International Film and TV Programs Exhibition runs from May 17 to 19.
