China will continue to support Zimbabwe's efforts to revitalize its economy, Chinese President Xi Jinping said during a meeting with his Zimbabwean counterpart Emmerson Mnangagwa at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing on Wednesday.
China and Zimbabwe have always been good friends, good partners and good brothers, the Chinese president said.
The two countries should continue to build political mutual trust and support each other on issues concerning their core interests, he added.
He also said that the two sides should explore new areas and new models for sustainable cooperation in trade.
Zimbabwe appreciates China giving valuable help to their economy and livelihood for many years, Mnangagwa said.
He expressed his full support for the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) and the cooperation measures under the framework of the China-Africa Cooperation Forum (FOCAC).
