At least ten children were killed and ten others critically injured after a bus carrying dozens of students plunged into a ravine in a remote forest area of Dang district in west India's Gujarat state on Saturday evening, local media reported.

Some 60 students have been taken to local hospitals, and rescue operations are underway to find three missing students.

The accident took place when the children were on their way to Mahal in Dangs for a trip, said local police.
