Xie Wenjun claims title in men's 110m hurdles at Asian Games

China's Xie Wenjun wrote his name into the history of the Asian Games after winning the men's 110m hurdles final the second time since the 2014 Incheon Asian Games.

Xie finished with 13.34 seconds, faster than his time of 13.36 seconds four years ago.

Xie started the match behind Shunya Takayama of Japan and Chen Kueiru of Chinese Taipei. But from the sixth hurdle, Xie breezed past his opponents.

Zeng Jianhang, another Chinese athlete, ranked No.6 with 13.65 seconds.

From 1974 till now, China has dominated in the event of men's 110m hurdles at the Asian Games, winning nine gold medals in total. Among them, Liu Xiang won three consecutive gold medals from the 14th Asian Games in 2002 to the Guangzhou Asian Games in 2010.

Afterwards, China's Wang Chunyu claimed a gold medal in women's 800m final.
