BBC reports that the latest piece was discovered in the same house where another fresco was uncovered late last year portraying the eroticized Greek myth of Leda and the Swan. A press release from archaeologists described the fresco's surroundings as an "elegant and sensual" bedroom. /VCG Photo
"This decoration was intentionally luxurious and probably dated to the last years of the colony, as indicated by the extraordinary preservation state of the colors," general director of the site Massimo Osanna explained. /VCG Photo
In Greek mythology, Narcissus was a hunter said to be impossibly handsome. The mythological figure was very popular within Roman art. /VCG Photo
