The egg account's managers, who refer to themselves as the “Egg Gang,” said the idea behind the experiment was to try to beat the record with something as basic as possible. “I guess it’s also a comment on celebrity culture and how fragile and easily cracked it is (pun intended),” they said. /VCG Photo
