Long known as a land of fish and rice, Tangqi Town of Hangzhou City, east China's Zhejiang Province, has made efforts in improving its environment recently.
Tangqi has existed since the Northern Song Dynasty (960-1127), and is a tourist destination best known today because of its ancient architecture. The town, which is overlooked by the nearby Chaoshan Mountain and is near Dingshan Lake, enjoys beautiful scenery as well as an abundance of forests and water.
In 2017, the town has launched an environmental governance plan, aiming to renovating the area and make it into a more attractive place. Check the following photos to see their achievements from the past few months.
