Mountain fire in NE China under control, straw burning to blame

The mountain fire broke out near Qipan Mountain in Shenyang City in northeast China's Liaoning Province on Wednesday is now under control and almost extinguished. 
Preliminary investigation reveals that burning stew by local villagers caused the fire, local authorities said on Thursday. 
The fire broke out at about 1:50 p.m. local time on Wednesday and spread fast due to severe winds.

Over 4,300 personals including 600 firefights were dispatched to battle the fire. Two helicopters and six drones were also mobilized.
Thousands of local residents have been relocated with no casualties reported so far.
