Japan's space agency launched a supply mission to the International Space Station (ISS) on Sunday. The JAXA Kounotori7 cargo ship (also known as HTV-7) took off from Tanegashima Space Center in southern Japan. The launch had been delayed by a few days due to technical problems and bad weather. The ISS will reportedly receive six new lithium-ion batteries for its power system from the Kounotori7. Space.com reported that the spacecraft was also carrying a series of tiny satellites for research purposes.
