In the final episode of the World Cup special program "By the Hand of the Ten ", featuring former Argentine football legend Diego Armando Maradona, a few minutes were dedicated to the President of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro.
The Venezuelan President congratulated the former player and Uruguayan journalist and the host of the show, Víctor Hugo Morales, for their on-air performances.
“I’m very happy because I think that you have exceeded the popularity of the 2014 World Cup special program,” said President Maduro.
Meanwhile, Maradona thanked the President, “My President, we had the confidence that we would tell what happens off the field”.
The 1986 World Cup-winning captain, who declared himself a strong supporter of the French player of Cameroonian origin, Kylián Mbappé, will travel to Belarus and then spend a few days in Argentina with his family, before returning to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, where he has been living for the past few years.
