At least 39 people were injured after blasts on Saturday rocked a trinitrotoluene (TNT) production plant in Dzerzhinsk, Russia, the state-run RIA Novosti news agency reported, citing local authorities.
The blasts have damaged windows of over 180 houses in nearby residential buildings.
Four of the victims are in critical condition, said an emergency services official.

There is no threat of chemical contamination of the air, according to local authorities.
The initial investigation indicated that "violations in the technological processes" inside the plant could be a possible cause of the blasts.
