At least 79 people were injured after several blasts rocked an explosives factory in the Russian city of Dzerzhinsk on Saturday, state-run RIA Novosti news agency reported.
The blasts, which were heard all over the town of more than 230,000 residents, smashed windows in around 340 buildings, Tass news agency said.

One of the 15 hospitalized victims is in critical condition, said an emergency services official.
Local authorities have ruled out threats of chemical contamination in the air.

Preliminary investigation indicates that "violations in the technological processes" inside the plant could be a possible cause of the blasts.
