13-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic beat Japanese Kei Nishikori 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 in men's semi-final of US Open to reach his second major final in a row, and eighth US Open final, who won two titles in 2011 and 2015 before.

Djokovic missed the tournament last year due to right elbow injury that eventually required surgery. However, he is back to his best as he clinched this year's Wimbledon title and now has a chance to win his third tournament title in New York and 14th Grand Slam trophy overall.
