China's first bridge to span a geological fault line, the Haiwen Bridge, has officially opened to traffic. The bridge links Haikou and Wenchang, shortening the journey between the two cities from 1.5 hours to merely 20 minutes.The bridge is 32 meters wide and 5.6 kilometers long with the cross-sea section being just under four kilometers.
