The 8th Winter Fishing Festival kicked off on the frozen Qinghua Lake, Zhaoyuan County in China's northeastern Heilongjiang Province on January 5. Thousands of people came to experience the traditional New Year's event. In east China's Anhui Province, Yingshang County also celebrated its own winter fishing festival on the same day.
