Colin Steer, 67, noticed a slight depression on the floor in the living room around 30 years ago when he was replacing the floor joists and he started digging, reported the Telegraph. When he dug down about a foot deep, he was stopped by his wife who told him to cover it up since they had three kids living in the house. /VCG Photo

After wondering about what was beneath the floor for so many years, Steer finally decided to restart the digging when he retired seven years ago. /VCG Photo
