Latest BWF World Rankings: Four No.1s have over 100,000 points

The Badminton World Federation (BWF) released the latest world rankings on Thursday for men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles. Four of the leading stars saw their total points pass 100,000.

Men's singles:

Kento Momota from Japan maintains his position as the world's No.1 badminton player with 100,870 points since September. Shi Yuqi from China comes in as No.2 but No.3 Chou Tien-chen from Chinese Taipei is only 5,258 points away. 
From Nos.4 to 7 are respectively Viktor Axelsen (Danish), Chen Long (Chinese), Son Wan-ho (South Korean) and Anthony Sinisuka Ginting (Indonesian).
Notably, Lin Dan (Chinese) and Lee Chong Wei (Malaysian) who used to be the world's top two players are currently No.13 and No.14.

Women's singles

Tai Tzu-ying from Chinese Taipei continues her dominance of the throne like she did in the past 102 weeks with 100,267 points. Akane Yamaguchi from Japan ranks second and Chen Yufei from China is third. Spain's Carolina Marin and Japan's Nozomi Okuhara both have raised their rankings to respectively No.4 and No.5 while Pusarla Venkata Sindhu from India fell to No.6. China's He Bingjiao remains seventh on the table.

Men's doubles:

The top five remains the same as Marcus Fernaldi Gideon/ Kevin Sanjaya Sukamuljo from Indonesia rank No.1 with 106,283 points. From No.2 to No.5 are respectively Li Junhui/Liu Yuchen from China, Takeshi Kamura/ Keigo Sonoda from Japan, Chen Hung Ling/ Wang Chi-Lin from Chinese Taipei and Liu Cheng/Zhang Nan from China.

Women's doubles:

Japanese players take all top three rankings but No.1 Yuki Fukushima/Sayaka Hirota are the only leading pair that do not have over 100,000 points. Misaki Matsutomo/Ayaka Takahashi and Mayu Matsutomo/Wakana Nagahara come in as second and third. Chinese combination Chen Qingchen/Jia Yifan came just behind Greysia Pplii/Apriyani Rahayu from Indonesia for the No.4 ranking.

Mixed doubles:

This is the only category that Chinese combinations top and they take the first two rankings. Zheng Siwei/Huang Yaqiong are No.1 with 106,600 points while Wang Yilyu/Huang Dongping come in second. 
Yuta Watanabe/Arisa Higashino from Japan raise their rankings by two from No.5 to No.3, passing Tontowi Ahmad/Liliyana Natsir from Indonesia and Tang Chun Man/Tse Ying Suet from China's Hong Kong.
