China's favorite and world number six Ding Junhui was beaten by Robert Milkins 5-4 as his hopes for making it to the last 16 of the 2018 Snooker World Open in Yushan County, east China's Jiangxi Province, was shattered on Wednesday.
A disappointed Ding, who has won 13 ranking titles and is the event's defending champion, said after his defeat: “I felt very tired and I did not play well tonight. Maybe I need to work out.”
