A 5.5-magnitude earthquake on the Richter scale jolted the 5km WSW of Volcano in Hawaii at 01:50 GMT on Monday, according to the US Geological Survey (USGS).

The epicenter, with a depth of 1.14 km, was initially determined to be at 19.405 degrees north latitude and 155.284 degrees west longitude.
