Eight people were killed and one injured after an explosion at a company that makes thermal insulation materials in Lankao County, central China's Henan Province, on Saturday morning, according to local police.
The injured person is in stable condition.
The deflagration took place at 6:40 a.m. local time, after propane leaked during the production process, according to the preliminary investigation.
The company's legal representative has been taken in for questioning.
