Dominic Thiem steamrolled Daniil Medvedev 6-4, 6-0 to win the Barcelona Open without losing a single set on Sunday.
The Austrian third seed clinched his second title of the year, adding to his triumph in Indian Wells in March.
Thiem, 25, was playing his first final on clay since last year's French Open when he was beaten by Rafael Nadal.
Medvedev, the Russian seventh seed, who came off a semifinal appearance in Monte Carlo earlier this month, was playing in his first clay court final.

The 23-year-old started well by gaining a 2-0 lead in the first set, but Thiem clawed his way back into the game in no time and dominated the proceedings thereafter.
The Austrian not only grabbed the first set to take control of the match, which lasted just over an hour, but completely overpowered his hapless rival without losing a single game in the decisive second set.
“It means so much to me to win here because it's a really special tournament," Theim said after the match. "Amazing tournament. Only the greatest players in history won here. Rafa (Nadal) eleven times of course. Then Thomas Muster which means a lot to me that I'm the second Austrian to be on the trophy as well.
“Yeah, I had some troubles last year. After a huge win against a top opponent to keep it up, but I improved in this department I guess, and didn't start too well, but it was a completely different game against Daniil (Medvedev). And then after 0-3, I started to play better, to make the things better which (were) hurting him I think. The slice because otherwise he is hardly missing and that was a good tactic.”
It was Thiem's 13th career singles title and his ninth on clay.
