The hostage crisis at a high-security jail on the outskirts of the Indonesian capital Jakarta has been resolved, Indonesia’s deputy police chief said on Thursday, adding that nearly all the convicted Islamist prisoners involved had surrendered.
"We have minimized the number of victims. The operation ended at 7:15 [a.m.]," Commissioner General Syafruddin told a news briefing.
