A cleanup was underway in the north Indian town of Varanasi on Wednesday, a day after an under-construction highway overpass collapsed, killing at least 18 people, disaster officials said.
They were killed when an immense concrete slab slammed down onto the road below.
Five injured people were pulled from the wreckage, police said. Two were seriously hurt.

Local media reports said four officials from the Uttar Pradesh state construction agency were suspended in the wake of the collapse.
Rescuers and crane operators worked through much of the night to search for survivors and clear the wreckage, which had crushed cars, motorcycles and a bus.
The slab appeared to be at least 15 meters long and two meters wide.
The state's top official ordered a probe into the collapse.
