Chinese top legislator Li Zhanshu called on the journalists covering the annual session of the national legislature to continue working hard to tell China's stories well.
Li, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress (NPC), praised reporters for their outstanding and innovative coverage of the second session of the 13th NPC while greeting journalists from major state media at the Great Hall of the People on Thursday.
Li hoped their coverage would continue to demonstrate the superiority, features, and efficiency of the country's fundamental political system.
He visited the news center set up by the Xinhua News Agency and watched programs of China Media Group which broadcast in 4K high-definition through the 5G network.
Li also talked with journalists from other state media outlets, calling for more efforts to update integrated media products and artificial intelligence technology.
