China's domestic tourism market is booming, on the other hand. Last year, over five billion domestic Chinese tours were made, a figure up 12.8 percent year-on-year. Trips made by overseas travelers reached about 29 million, up 3.6 percent.
Dai Bin, head of the China Tourism Academy, said cooperation between China and other countries in the tourism sector will help boost exchanges and contribute to the global economic and social development.
