For Wednesday's "By the Hand of the Ten" program, we haven’t got Maradona sitting inside the studio and talking about the World Cup, but we have an exclusive video through TeleSUR, which presents a story behind the football legend's experience of watching Argentina's games as a spectator, and of course, a sensation the icon has caused among the passionate crowd.
Even though his last World Cup appearance as a player was way back in 1994, El Diego continues to mesmerize his fans and is still having a massive fan following across the globe. He has been cheering for his team in every game and has often been captured by the camera with his animated and passionate gestures at the VIP Box.
The footballer, who won the World Cup as a captain in 1986 in Mexico, has been strongly backing an under-fire Messi and said he was praying for Argentina ahead of the make-or-break match against Nigeria on Tuesday.
